Amphora Wine Tasting

On Thursday 10th and Friday 11th December, we will be hosting wine launches for our most exclusive wine range, our Hencote Amphora wines, including our Amphora Chardonnay 2018 and our first International Gold Medal Winner, the Amphora Pinot Noir 2018.

In 2018, our very best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes were selected for fermentation in our terracotta Amphora. Following a ten-month maturation period, the wines were bottled in October 2019 and are now ready for release.

If you are a Club Member, join us on the evening of Thursday 10th December for the first taste of our exclusive wine range, whilst our Public Wine Launch takes place on Friday 11th.

The evening will begin with a short tour of the Hencote Winery where we will discuss the philosophy behind how our Amphora wines are made and why we have used this unique style.

Following the tour, we return to the View to taste the wines and where you can choose to pair your wines with four local cheese or with a meal from our new December menus.

Following Tier 2 guidelines, each of our tours will be capped at 12 guests maximum and your tasting must include either a cheeseboard or meal.

There are two tour times to choose from, 5:30 pm or 6:30 pm on both evenings, with your dinner reservation or cheeseboard to follow one hour after.

On each evening, our Amphora wines will be available in the View by the glass before becoming available by the bottle only afterward.
